Service area


We are based in Wabash, Indiana and we consider our typical service area to be from Indianapolis to the north. With that said, we can travel anywhere in the state of Indiana for service. Just keep in mind we charge a travel fee by the mile to get to you so the farther we have to travel the more it will cost. If the project is large scale and multi-day this rate can be reduced. We do not currently offer service in surrounding states but are considering it.





Some services we provide


It's impossible for us to list every single service we provide but here is a list of some we do. This list is sure to change over time so please check back as needed.


  • Appliance Diagnostic, Repair, & Replacement (Not including residential appliances)
  • Winterization & De-Winterization (blow out water system, inject RV anti-freeze, inspect roof, seals, sanitize water system, etc)
  • Plumbing (water, propane, sewer)
  • Internal Cosmetic Repairs (trim, doors, drawers, etc.)
  • Towable suspension repair (bushing, springs, welding, etc.)
  • Towable wheel bearing inspection and repacking
  • Towable brake inspection and replacement
  • Awning replacement
  • Accessory Installation (soft starts, stabilizers, thermostats, etc.)
  • Power Inverter/Battery Installation (Victron Energy/SOK preferred)
  • Electrical diagnostic & repair (Interior, Exterior, AC/DC)
  • Exterior lighting & brake wiring, custom (high quality) wiring harnesses
  • Weight distribution hitch installation/adjustment
  • Roof cleaning, inspection, & patching (self leveling sealer and/or membrane tape)
  • Seal replacement (doors, slides, etc.)
  • General welding, both steel & aluminum
  • Plastic tank repair (plastic welding)

Services we do not provide


Unfortunately we cannot offer every single service imaginable. Some we just aren't equipped to handle or lack the proper training. Some services may require an indoor facility. As our capabilities increase we anticipate this list will shrink so please check back from time to time.

  • Anything chassis related on motorized RV's (engine, transmission, suspension, etc.)
  • Body Work
  • Slide Removal
  • Roof Membrane replacement (Coming Soon)
  • Solar (Coming Soon)
  • Roadside Assistance (it's just too dangerous)
  • Full Inspections (we're not full fledged inspectors but we'd be happy to look something over for you and offer our opinion)
  • Residential appliance diagnostic & repair


Warranty service


We do not currently offer direct warranty service for companies/manufacturers (this may change). In the event the customer needs something repaired under warranty it is the customer's responsibility to pay all Recre-Tech fees and obtain reimbursement from the company afterwards. This is something you must obtain approval for ahead of time with the company. We will not in any way be responsible for non-reimbursed expenses.



Customer responsibilities


  • Provide a clean, safe work environment for Recre-Tech service technicians
  • Obtain permission from the land owner/operator for repairs to take place (residential, commercial, campground, RV park, storage facility, etc.)
  • Provide ample space for a truck w/20' shop trailer
  • Provide an adequate, clean water supply if the task requires it
  • A covered location if required by the task (certain roof, window activities, etc.)
  • Though our trailer is equipped with an inverter & generator there may still be occasions when we require on-site power (240V/RV 50amp)
  • In some cases we may require a helping hand and will try to bring that to your attention up front


Our process


  1. Customer contacts us about a problem or service needed
  2. Customer provides as much information as possible (pictures of the damage, id plates on appliances, model numbers, etc.)
  3. If we can handle the job we accept and setup a tentative appointment with the customer. (appointment is not locked in until travel expense is paid in full)
  4. The customer is sent an invoice for travel expense to their location which can be paid on-line or over the phone. This cannot be refunded because it locks in a time slot in our schedule. If you were to cancel we would be out the day's revenue which we could have made from another customer. All credit, debit, & ACH payments are handled by Intuit QuickBooks
  5. Recre-Tech technician(s) arrive on appointment day to diagnose and/or repair if at all possible.
  6. Unless otherwise arranged ahead of time, work payment is due upon completion of the job. Large scale projects will require some prepayment to cover parts. Please note, we do not offer any form of financing.
