Pricing
We feel it is important to discuss how our pricing works so as to be as transparent as possible with our customers. First off, we base most of our service off of an industry standard model. Whenever possible we calculate labor pricing based on our Repair Rate X Flat Rate hours which are provided by the Spader Flat Rate manual. The reason we use this is to be fair to both the customer and ourselves. Spader surveys repair companies on a regular basis to determine what the average repair time is on a given task. This ensures that company A and company B charge the customer the same amount of time. At that point the customer can then compare repair companies based on price and ability and they can take time out of the equation. Unfortunately this doesn't work in every single situation. Some jobs such as tracking down electrical problems, repairing frames, etc. can be impossible to estimate because there are so many variables involved. We'll always do our best to handle these situations as quickly as possible, as long as it doesn't sacrifice quality of work. Whenever possible we warn a customer of these sorts of situations ahead of time so they know what to expect. We, like you, are also consumers and we understand the importance of up front pricing, fair pricing.
- Travel Rate: $1.90/mile

Parts
We try to be competitive on parts pricing however in many cases we can't buy parts any cheaper than the customer. We do need to markup the parts we sell to cover time in research, ordering, and stocking. Any tangible items we sell will include Indiana State sales tax of 7% unless an exemption has been established ahead of time. Smaller items such as wire connectors, screws, etc. as well as products such as rust penetrant, anti-seize, thread locker, etc. are often absorbed by us and not charged to the customer unless a large amount is used for a project. If the customer chooses to supply the parts then the customer is responsible for ensuring proper fit and durability. We in no way will offer any sort of warranty on parts or labor associated with customer provided parts. In the event we arrive on site to install a customer supplied part and it doesn't fit then the customer is responsible for travel expenses on the return trip and any labor accrued.
